From 2022 to 2023, I had the opportunity to collaborate with Professor Karoline Truchon on an innovative research project: How to teach, popularize, and disseminate the ethical issues of artificial intelligence? The contribution of solutions journalism. This interdisciplinary project explores how solutions journalism can serve as a pedagogical tool to make the ethical debates surrounding AI more accessible.

Solutions Journalism as a Pedagogical Tool
In the face of the challenges posed by the rise of artificial intelligence, the question of its ethics becomes crucial. This project aims to design an effective teaching model to explain these complex issues to different audiences. Solutions journalism, which emphasizes responses to problems rather than the problems themselves, proves to be a relevant approach to foster understanding and awareness.
Research Areas and Contributions
The project is structured around several objectives:
- Theorizing the teaching and popularization process of ethical issues related to AI.
- Analyzing the impacts of solutions journalism as a pedagogical approach.
- Evaluating the produced content (reports, articles, digital platforms) and their effectiveness in knowledge mobilization.
Impact and Perspectives
This experience allowed me to develop critical reflection on the transmission of knowledge related to emerging technologies. By combining the fields of communication, pedagogy, and ethics, this project opens new perspectives to make artificial intelligence more comprehensible and accessible to a wide audience.
