In March 2021, I participated in the coordination of the publication Entretiens #4 – Lettre d’un présent précaire, project by Mirna Boyadjian, directed by Marie-Hélène Leblanc and published by Galerie UQO. This volume is part of a series of interdisciplinary publications that examine institutional and artistic issues through dialogues between researchers, artists, and art professionals during th pandemic.

A project bringing together multiple voices
Entretiens is a series of publications bringing together interlocutors from various fields in a dialogue around the artistic and institutional questions that arise in the context of Galerie UQO’s activities. The Gallery’s mandate is to contribute to the advancement and dissemination of knowledge on contemporary art, and these publications directly enrich the discourse around such knowledge.
A project developed in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic
On April 15, 2020, Galerie UQO launched a project developed by Mirna Boyadjian titled Letters From a Precarious Present. It proposed a collective exploration inspired by the question opening anthropologist Anna Lowenhaupt Tsing’s book The Mushroom at the End of the World: On the Possibility of Life in Capitalist Ruins (2015): What do you do when your world starts to fall apart? A number of people—both near and far—involved with the gallery were invited to participate, and the letters they sent were shared each week on our website and social media over the course of the spring and summer of 2020.
