Galerie UQO distinguished itself through a curatorial approach foregrounding experimental artistic practices and interdisciplinary research. As Coordinator, I contributed to:
- The organization of exhibitions, ensuring logistical coordination, cultural mediation, and sustained communication with institutional and artistic partners.
- The development of collaborations, particularly with cultural and academic institutions, in order to enhance the visibility of artists and curators.
- The creation of spaces for critical reflection, through discussions and scholarly events addressing contemporary issues in art and society.
Management and Coordination of Projects
Alongside the exhibition program, I played a central role in:
- Administrative and financial oversight, including budget management and grant applications.
- Supporting artists and curators throughout the development and presentation of their projects.
- Designing and coordinating research and mediation initiatives, including conferences, publications, and podcasts that enriched critical discourse on contemporary art.
A Commitment to the Visibility of Art and the University
Through this position, I contributed to establishing Galerie UQO as an open and dynamic space, aligned with the innovative vision of its director and curator, Marie-Hélène Leblanc. This experience enabled me to integrate cultural management with the coordination of artistic and scholarly events, while reinforcing the role of art institutions within the academic sphere.
